Veteran Hindi litterateur Renu Gupta is a much-published author across genres be it laghukatha or short stories, novels, articles, blogs, translations and more.
At present, apart from her writing, she undertakes freelance assignments in Hindi and conducts online classes for school students (English grammar) and spoken English batches for women of all age groups.
Her just published (June ’23) collection of laghukatha Aadha Hai Chandrama has received much acclaim.
Renu’s long form stories and laghukathas have been published in renowned magazines like Madhumati brought out by Rajasthan Sahitya Academy, Harigandha of Haryana Sahitya Academy, leading national and regional Hindi dailies like Rajasthan Patrika, Amar Ujala, Laghukatha Vrut, Sandhy Times, Lokmitra, Shree Ram Express, Tyulip Today, Palash, Laghukatha Kalash, Gwaliar Kiran, Sarita, Mukta, Gruhshobha, Meri Saheli, Jagran Sakhi and on many online portals like Pratilipi, Story Mirror and Matrubharti.
She has written 157 articles and short stories for leading e-magazine dusbus.com.
A number of her laghukathas and stories have been published in multiple author compilations like Ratnavali, Swaranjali, Samay Ki Dastak, Manavta ki Ladaaee, Maa, Diyaa Tale Andhera, Boond Mein Sagar, Damakte Lamhe and several others.
On the occasion of World Sparrow Day in March 2022, one of her short stories was narrated in the programme ‘Ek Chidiya Anek Chidiya’ under ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ by Maharashtra Rajya Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mumbai.
Another short story Wo Lamha has been made into a short film.
A number of her talks on socio-cultural topics have been broadcast by All India Radio, Guwahati.
